The early run-throughs (through mid June) will concentrate on songs 1–4 (in the order on the CD) although you can possibly sing through everything at a run-through. In late June and early July, we will tackle songs 5-8 and review 1-4. Late July and August run-throughs will work on the whole set of 12 songs.
When you decide to go to a run-through, please contact the host directly and let him know you’re planning to attend. Times are set by the host. Please keep your commitment to attend and be on time because other guys are counting on you! Let your host know if your plans change. We make an attempt to balance voice parts at run-throughs, so if you plan to go and don’t show up, parts can be out of balance and spoil the day. Please treat each run-though the same way you would treat your own quartet rehearsals (you wouldn’t think of not showing up for your own rehearsal without letting someone know!). Bring your music (with your name on the music so it won’t get lost) to check your weak spots. Also bring your learning CD...it can be useful and fun if a part is missing. BE PREPARED to sing the songs that we’ll be working on at that run-through. Don’t come unprepared and expect to ‘woodshed’ or sight read the sheet music. The run-throughs are NOT intended to be note learning sessions.

AHB 2010 Run-through Introduction
Greetings AHB 2010 Participant! We’re off and running toward our 5th AHB rally this summer! This is the first in a series of emails that you will receive to keep you up to date on where and when “run-throughs” are being held in your area. If you are a returning AHB participant, the attached information will serve as a review of our procedures.
