Launch in external player An enthusiastic crowd of 215 people attended this inaugural show, loudly signaling their approval at the end with a substantial standing ovation. At least one savvy Barbershop enthusiast said it was the best barbershop show he’d seen in years; several were very eager to be put on the mailing list for the 2007 show.
Guest quartets included two that were drawn that weekend from the Brigade's ranks and included men (ranging in age from 23 to 60) from, New Jersey, New York, Tennessee, Denver, North Carolina and PA. Two well established quartets (Chain Reaction and All In A Chord);
both from the ranks of the AHB and the BHS also were featured
quartet performers. |
Nine Directors (out of seventeen) participating in the Brigade from all over the East Coast directed the chorus in selections from the Brigade’s repertory. They included: Jason Thompson, Noah Morrison, Garry Warlow, Fern Sicilia, Charlie Ross, Chuck Green, Pat Kelly, TJ Baranger, Neil Dingle.
Also included were special guest directors: Harriette Walters
(SAI) John Ward and Joe Hunter. These special dignitaries also
voluntarily served on the Judging panel for the Brigade's private
contest held during the weekend.
BHS International Quartet Reveille performed as did a rapidly rising women’s quartet from Sweet Adeline International, Quest.
Also spotlighted was Wilmington Delaware’s own local BHS chapter, The Chorus of the Brandywine under, Rich Gray. .
MC Neil Keihm hosted the evening.
